About the Design of the Black Multiholk

This Multiholk draws inspiration from Sweden's most popular colour for wooden houses: black. As early as the Viking era, there were black houses in the Nordic countries. In those days, the black colour came from tar. In the 21st century, black has become one of the most popular colours for modern wooden houses. A black house makes a striking contrast against the garden's greenery and allows the green to stand out.

Crafted in partnership with ornithological experts, we designed the Multiholk, a wooden birdhouse, to offer an ideal nesting habitat for small garden birds, such as sparrows and tits. Internal climbing grooves gently guide fledglings toward the exit hole, a crucial step in their first flight. Strategically placed ventilation holes guarantee a comfortable nest temperature during warm summer days.
