Multiholk Carbon Black meets all the different needs of a bird and is, at the same time, a fun garden detail. Its clever design has been developed in consultation with ornithologists to work year-round. In the spring, it is a birdhouse, and in the autumn, it turns into a feeder.
The birdhouse has several adaptations that ensure our feathery garden friends and their families thrive. Ventilation holes keep the temperature comfortable on hot summer days and, notches on the inside of the entrance hole make it easy for the chicks to climb out for flight practice. As a feeder, it is Michelin class. With perches on the sides, the birds can't sit directly in the food, which keeps the food fresh and the birds free from infection.
At Wildlife Garden, we believe that birdhouses and bird feeders shouldn't just be practical; they should have character. They should both attract wildlife and add a design element to your garden. The Multiholk series encompasses an array of house and architecture styles, including our series of natural pigment nests. Carbon black is a pigment derived from soot. Well into the 20th century, carbon black was Swedens most valuable building paint pigment. In the past, Swedish 'allmoge' painters would extract carbon black from the soot of burnt birch bark. Our monochrome black house draws inspiration from this soot-black shade.
All of Wildlife Gardens' Multiholks are wall, tree and post-mountable. Please note that when using the Multiholk as a nest, mount it at least 150 cm above ground level.
