About the Species

The marmot (Marmota marmota) is a large rodent found in the Alps and other European mountain regions. It has a sturdy body, short tail, and dense brown-grey fur. Living in family groups, marmots dig extensive tunnel systems in alpine meadows and can live up to 15 years. During summer, they build up fat reserves for winter, when they hibernate deeply for several months. The species is known for its high-pitched whistles that warn of predators – a true guardian of the Alpine mountain landscape.

Care Instructions

Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. For indoor use.
