About the Budgerigar

The budgerigar is a small parrot that grows up to 22cm. Budgies are native to the drier regions of Australia, where they live in flocks of different sizes. They move, search for food, preen, and socialize as a group. They are very good at imitating different sounds. The wild budgerigar has a green belly and a black and yellow top. The flock is nomadic and sometimes moves long distances to find food, primarily grass seeds and herbs.
