About the English Springer Spaniel
The English Springer Spaniel is the oldest of the English gun dogs. The basis of the breed is found in a line of spaniels developed in the 1800s. The breed was recognized in England in 1902.
The Springer Spaniel has a happy and friendly temperament and has become a popular companion dog. The colour is brown and white or black and white. It is the largest of all spaniel breeds. The Springer Spaniel needs plenty of exercise and enjoys searching and retrieving objects.
