The bullfinch magnet is a realistic bird's head in profile, carved out of wood and painted by hand. The bullfinch is a symbol of Christmas, with its brightly red chest contrasting against the white winter snow. In winter it frequently visits bird feeders, but they are nearby all year around. The bullfinch makes its first appearance on the bird table when it starts to get cold – its red breast and black bonnet glisten in beautiful contrast to the white snow. The female build the nest herself using root-fibres and twigs several metres up in a small tree, generally a spruce or juniper shrub.
